What is at stake in rehearsal (closed intimate preparatory relaxed) and how do those stakes shift in performance?
If a rehearsal becomes performative, how do the stakes shift or raise or change?
- Does the presence of a viewer change your creative processes?
- Does the idea of the viewer live in your thoughts while you create? (for me sometimes yes, sometimes only somewhat)
- Does there need to be any idea of a viewer or of who will see the work in order to make the dance....does the dance need to be seen?
*If I make this process performative, how does that change how I create, how I value the "material" I create, how I use my time in rehearsals, how I think about viewership and audiences?*
